The place where I try to explain, in my gibberish, what I've learned about prevailing wisdom regarding Marine (salt water) aquarium keeping.
With an aquarium, we seek to bring nature's beauty into our homes. Water has always had a calming effect, and the graceful swimming of fish, hypnotic effect of corals swaying in the current, and the vibrant colors, are all the reason I need to justify the time, effort and expense of replicating a slice of the ocean in my living room.
There are divergent philosophies on the best way to maintain aquariums, particularly marine tanks, a natural resistance to new ideas that are unproven by the test of time, as they might risk precious specimens, tends to support the conservative approach. So, what's an aquarist to do?!?!?
